Tim Goossens
Tim Goossens, Clocktower Curatorial Advisor, is an independent Curator based in New York City.
Born and raised in Belgium, he moved to Paris to pursue a Masters in Art History at Paris IV- Sorbonne, and a Masters Cum Laude in Museology at the prestigious Ecole du Louvre. Goossens moved to New York in 2006 and was an Assistant Curator at MoMA PS1 until 2010. At PS1, he curated the group exhibition Between Spaces (2009), and collaborated on major exhibitions including Kenneth Anger (2009) and Greater New York (2010) and co-curated the acclaimed performance series Saturday Sessions. In 2011, he was Creative Director of the new art initiative fordPROJECT on 57th street in New York City.
As an independent curator he has curated numerous exhibitions including Dark Paradise (Nara Roesler, Brazil) Mary Beth Edelson (Suzanne Geiss Company, New York), Larger than Love (official exhibition as part of Berlin Biennale 2012), the Belgian group show Avec le Temps - In Temps (Robert Miller Gallery, New York) and RISD Expose (RISD, Providence). Goossens sits on the advisory committee of Neuehouse New York and is a Curatorial Director at envoy enterprises in New York City.
Goossens worked as a radio host with Clocktower Radio during special projects at the Venice Biennale, and Art Basel Miami Beach.
