Touria El Glaoui

David Weinstein interviews Touria El Glaoui, the director and organizer of the 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair, started in 2013 in London. The initiative seeks to increase international access and visibility of traditional and contemporary African art. Taking its name from the 54 countries on the continent, 1:54 showcases carefully selected galleries and aims to be a platform for artists, curators, art centers, and museums. The first New York edition of the fair will be held from 15-17th May 2015 at Pioneer Works Center for Art & Innovation in Brooklyn.
