Relax! 70's Brazilian Rare Groove Gems
The international sounds of disco, soul, and jazz collided in the 70’s and early 80’s to form what is now known as the "Rare Groove" movement. While challenging to describe, Rare Groove has a distinct feel and tempo, with uplifting and irresistible melodies. Brazilian music also has its fair share of Rare Groove explorers and innovators. Along with the SambaSoul movement, lots of ultra groovy soulful music was produced by artists such as Djavan, Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti, Banda Black Rio, Carlos Dafé, Marcos Valle, Tim Maia, Antonio Adolfo, and many more. Put on your boogie shoes for this one!
