Sonoridade host and producer Béco Dranoff has just returned from a two week trip to Japan. Béco traveled along with director Guto Barra to shoot interviews for the second season of the series Beyond Ipanema: Brazilian Waves in Global Music. While in Japan, the duo shot over 15 interviews with artists, producers, collectors and more.
The program features some of Béco's favorite finds from the trip, including: Astrud Gilberto's Japanese album, the tropicália infused sound of Lamp, the unique Maki Nomiya version of the classic O Barquinho in Japanese with Fernanda Takai, the sweet voice of Lisa Ono, the Trio Elétrico sounds of the Novos Naniwanos from Osaka and much much more.
