Jean-Euphèle Milcé



Jean-Euphèle Milcé is the president of the Writer’s House of Thomassin, a writers' refuge administrated and organized by Haitian writers and affiliated with the PEN writer’s center of New York. The Writer’s House provides lodging and support for writers in Haiti and seeks to protect their artistic liberty and shield them from corruption and other pressures because, as Milcé puts it, “in this country, the truth is purchased.” This interview is conducted in French.
