"Brazilian Jazz" is an extremely large and encompassing term. What is Jazz? What is Brazilian? Define them. For the 20th edition of Sonoridade, Béco Dranoff selects some of his favorite sounds and feels from the Brazilian instrumental music universe. The show features unique cross-genre blends such as Jazz & Bossa, Jazz & Forró, Jazz & Samba, Jazz & Funk, Jazz & Folk, Jazz & Frevo, Afro- Brazilian Jazz and all the possible re-combinations in between. Artists included on the show are accordionist Toninho Ferraguti, pianist Fábio Caramurú, bassist Leonardo Cioglia, violinist Ricardo Hertz, modern jazz ensemble Mozik, drummer Adriano Santos, guitar and organ B3 duo Bina & Ehud, blues pianist Ari Borger, Frevo big band Bomba Do Hemetério, pianist André Mehmari with singer Ná Ozzetti.
