BRAZA Mixtape: Bahia Bass 03
To close 2015 in style, Sonoridade host and producer Béco Dranoff commissioned an original mix tape from BRAZA - the uber cool Brazilian label releasing some of the most forward-thinking grooves in the land. Mixed by Mauro Telefunksoul, Bahia Bass 03 focuses on the Afro sounds of Salvador as re-invented by new artists such as Bro Safari, Attoxxa, Bemba Trio, Lord Breu, Braap and many more.
São Paulo’s Renato Martins launched the label and he is essentially a man on a mission to discover and promote fresh talent beyond the Rio and São Paulo axis. Starting as a Baile Funk blog, Renato soon realized he needed a larger platform to promote the wild new hybrid music he was finding. Since it’s 2013 inception, BRAZA has released over 100 tracks by more than 30 artists!
Renato’s goal is to highlight and disseminate Brazil’s thriving DJ culture inside and outside of the country. So click that button and let the music take you into a futuristic sound jungle where Moombathon, Afoxé, Dubstep, Trap, Global Bass, Samba-Reggae,
Mash Ups, Bale Funk, Hip Hop, Rasteirinha, Dancehall, Axé and Drum & Bass beats co-exist in perfect harmony. Viva a mistura! Happy 2016 to everyone!
