Andrea Belag

Andrea Belag sits down with Will Corwin to discuss her entrancing brushstrokes and her life in the New York art scene. Belag was featured in the 12 Painters: The Studio School 1974/2014 exhibition at the Steven Kasher Gallery along with Interview Show alumna Joyce Pensato. In honor of the exhibition, she moderated a panel discussion about the Studio School that raised some very intense social issues about the school's founder Mercedes Matter and many of the school's faculty. Belag tells of her own experiences with Philip Guston and Matter, and discusses her painting methods and her projects.
