William Monahan, Mojave

The American screenwriter and novelist behind The Departed, Kingdom of Heaven, and The Gambler, William Monahan candidly delves into his Hollywood writing career and details how it influenced his latest directorial effort Mojave. Macho and at times fable-like, Mojave tells the story of a suicidal artist, played by Oscar Isaac, and his encounter with his doppelgänger, a homicidal transient played by Garrett Hedlund, in the Mojave desert.
