Walton Goggins, The Hateful Eight
A staple of series TV (The Shield, Justified, Sons of Anarchy) Walton Goggins practically steals Quentin Tarantino’s pulpy, violent, and often funny, The Hateful Eight, out from under those veteran Tarantino stars Samuel L. Jackson and Kurt Russell. As Chris Mannix, a would-be sheriff whose blizzard-imposed stay in a Wyoming cabin reveals layers of murderous intent from a variety of varmints, Goggins rates as the only character in the plot line to be transformed by the film’s gory events.
