Vision Festival XII

In this edition of Sound the Alarm we will hear live excerpts from Vision Festival XII including Bill Dixon's 17 Musicians in Search of a Sound: Darfur and William Parker's Double Sunrise Over Neptune: Morning Mantra. This 2007 series took place at the Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side of Manhattan from June 19-24, 2007.
The Vision Festival is an annual affair of heart and music in New York city, managed by Arts For Art, Inc. a not-for-profit, multi-cultural organization whose purpose is "to build awareness and understanding of avantjazz and related expressive movements while encouraging a sense of community amongst artists and their audiences."
