Venice 2011: Bjorn Melhus, Latin American Pavilion
Curator and ARTonAIR.org radio host Julia Draganovic spoke with artist Bjorn Melhus at the Venice Biennale where he's representing his work in the Latin American Pavilion. What began as a commissioned piece (by a German artist) celebrating the 200th anniversary of Latin America's independence turned into a featured work in its Biennale pavilion entitled Hecho en Mexico (Made in Mexico). Melhus discusses how the work came about and what it represents to the Latin American people.
