Venice 2011: Antonia Carver, Art Dubai

Victoria Brooks sits down with the director of Art Dubai Antonia Carver at Venice Biennale to talk about this year's United Arab Emirates Pavilion. Exhibiting Reem Al Ghaith, Lateefa bint Maktoum, Abdullah Al Saadi - three Emiratie artists from different generations and different aesthetic schools - Curator Vasif Kortun worked with the Istanbul architectural firm Superpool to create a unique pavilion space that allows the work to both interact and at the same time stand apart from one another through the pavilion's unique island design mimicking the Emirates themselves.
