Tom Arnold, Powers Booth, and Kent Stock, The Final Season

Baseball, America's great pastime, gets a valentine with this little-seen but first-rate account of an Iowa high school championship team as they are being downsized into oblivion after 19 championship seasons. A true story, The Final Season was filmed in the town where it took place in the 1990s. We speak with Iowa native Tom Arnold who plays a pivotal role, veteran Powers Boothe who scores again as the outgoing coach and Kent Stock, the actual coach of that final season, played on film by Sean Astin.
