The Pimps of Joytime
Jeannie Hopper interviews Brian J and Chauncey Yearwood from the super dance band The Pimps of Joytime. Funky music and a dance party on stage is what this group is about. They cross genres from funky to latin to jazzy with super gritty soul fusing it all together. Catch their first album High Steppin' followed by the album remixed Funk Fixes and Remixes released on Wonderwheel Records. The follow up album Janxta Funk includes a collaboration with Roy Ayers and soon will be released as they get it all together between their busy 2011 touring schedules.
