The Healer

Nickodemus brings on the musical love, starting with a teaser of J-Dilla's Timeless as Detroit gets ready to celebrate February 10, 2012, the official J-Dilla Day, as a tribute to his timeless talents and legacy. Following this homage to the hip hop artist on his birthday (R.I.P.) is the much anticipated 2011 Quantic release of Combo Barbaro's "Cumbia de Dilla".

Then we venture deeper into Colombian territory with Pacifico Colombiano's "Homenaje a Justino". You might just feel an ocean breeze breeze by as Dirk Gerner's "Loose Lights" flows into Nicola Conte's "Arabesque," featuring sweet guitar licks and groovy percussion. Your musical journey continues with the global rhythms of Los Chicharrons' "Ma Do Nar" remixed by Captain Planet, Petrona Martinez's "El Critica" remixed by Brazil's Maga Bo, Pernett's "La Rumba Bacana" remixed by Nickodemus (soon to come out on his own label Wonderwheel Recordings) along with the latest release on his label, Sid Vaga's "Brazuca" remixed by D-Sol.

As the healing nature of music enraptures your soul, we fall into the hypnotic vibes of Burial's "Stolen Dog", Daedelus' "Tailor Made Floating Points Remix)", J-Dilla's "Won't Do" instrumental and Erykah Badu's "The Healer," featuring Pharoahe Monch. Finally, Nickodemus rounds out the mix with Bob Marley's "Sun is Shining" (his birthday also just passed).
