Screenwriter and Reno 911! comic Michael Ian Black's original version of Run Fat Boy Run was set in Manhattan and climaxed with the NYC Marathon. He tells of how once English producers bought the property, more than the film's setting changed. Director David Schwimmer reminisces about his early days onstage, his Friends directing tutorials, and his friendship with Fat Boy himself Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) who adapted the script for its London setting.
