Terry Adkins

Daniela Salvioni converses with artist, musician, activist and cultural practitioner Terry Adkins about his return to creating "recitals"--installations that preserve the legacies of under-recognized, historically transformative figures through a combination of sculpture, music, video and literature ignited by ritual actions. They also broach Oprah terminology and the ineluctable lyricism at the heart of his work (43 minutes).
