Local independent cassette tape labels with limited edition releases share their wares, talk, and tunes with Clocktower during the Second Sundays open house at Pioneer Works. Hear sets from Fire Talk, Brainplan, Mirror Universe, Exploding in Sound, Cryptic Carousel, Already Dead, and International Winners.

Fire Talk is a label based in Brooklyn creating both physical and digital music media.

Brainplan: In 2009 brainplanrecords was started as a format for small batch audio releases. To this day, it's growing roster represents punk, experimental and noise explorations through cassette and CD formats. Other contributions include layout, screen printing, and graphic design.

Mirror Universe Mirror Universe tapes was born in Charleston, SC in 2009. Our current headquarters is located in Brooklyn.

Exploding in Sound Exploding In Sound Records is a record label based out of Brooklyn, NY with roots going back to our days as college students in Boston.We like rock music [among other genres], and we like it to be loud... and quiet... and that whole quiet-loud-quiet thing. Our goal is to make an impact both musically and culturally, through our good and honest DIY roots. We believe in the music we release and the people involved with making it. This is Exploding In Sound Records, a humble operation determined to bring you the best the underground has to offer.

Already Dead A Lincoln Square cassette label that specializes in everything experimental.


Cryptic Carousel is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. The label specializes in the design, production, manufacturing, , and distribution of esoteric visual and audio related materials.


International Winners is a collective of friends who play music (mostly electronic based) in Brooklyn, NY. The collective organize shows, puts out releases, and make tapes.
