Studio Sessions: DaiKyoFuroShiki
Tune in to a recording of DaiKyoFuroShiki, a duo that consists of Tamio Shiraishi and Cammisa Buerhaus created during Buerhaus' residency in the Pioneer Works recording studio and featuring her Chroma Color Organ and Shiraishi on saxophone. The project fuses handmade instrumentals, free noise, and guttural sounds of tone poetry. The two musicians also join Clocktower's Ethan Primason for an interview about their collaboration.
Cammisa Buerhaus is a sound artist and instrument creator. Saxophonist Tamio Shiraishi, a founding member of the legendary noise unit Fushitsusha, has also collaborated in the US with Crash Worship, No Neck Blues Band, and many more. The two have released an album, YUU, on Wild Flesh Productions.
