Second Sundays: Flor de Toloache & Chicha Libre
Two live sets recorded by Clocktower Radio at the Pioneer Works open house on March 9, 2014. Flor de Toloache is an all-female mariachi band founded by Mireya Ramos and Shae Fiol. Chicha Libre plays a mixture of latin rhythms, surf music, and psychedelic pop inspired by Peruvian music from Lima and the Amazon. Programmer and co-owner of the Brooklyn performance space Barbès, Olivier Conan, was the musical curator for the evening's music.
Second Sundays is a monthly series of open studios, live music/ DJ, and site-specific Interventions presented by Pioneer Works every second Sunday of every month.
