Scott Speedman, Barney's Version
Spanning three decades, Barney’s Version cast Scott Speedman as Boogie, the artistic writer and best bud of Paul Giamatti’s Barney Panofsky in the film version of the late Mordechai Richler’s semi-autobiographical novel. As youthful friends who meet and party in '70s Rome, Speedman and Giamatti chart the changes booze and drugs can make as years pass and the location changes to Montreal. The London born actor, 35, initially won attention as Keri Russell’s boyfriend on the Felicity TV series. He has since alternated between comic and serious roles. Partnered with Liv Tyler, Speedman had a sleeper hit with the terrifying The Strangers, co-starred with Kate Beckinsale in Underworld: Evolution and was Sarah Polley’s husband in the acclaimed tearjerker, My Life Without Me.
