Sandi Slone

After experiencing the first opening night of the fall season on the Lower East Side, Will Corwin ended up at the Allegra La Viola Gallery, at Sandi Slone's opening. This was perfect timing as Will is trying to get an oral history of artists from her generation. Sandi is a New York abstract painter who came up in the '70s. She began her career in Boston, and after showing her paintings at Acquavella Galleries on New York's Upper East Side for many years, Slone arrived in the city during the early '80s. Her exhibition "Quick Mettle Rich Blood" is on view through October 6th, 2012.
