Richard Maxwell
Host Michael Rush speaks with Richard Maxwell, the experimental theater artist known for pairing down language and gesture to such minimal levels that his actors hardly seem to be acting and his plays hardly fit under any traditional conception of theater. In his 2010 work Ads, he replaced live actors with video projections. But if you think he's gingerly creeping toward the gallery world you'd be dead wrong: Ads makes for enthralling theater (32 minutes).
