To close a very intense year on a high note, Sonoridade host and producer Béco Dranoff has selected some of his favorite tracks released in 2016 to create a very exciting journey into modern Brazilian music. This special 90 minutes mix is a retrospective of some of the music that caught Béco’s ears and that are standouts in what turned out to be an amazingly prolific year in Brazilian music. From legendary singer Elza Soares (recipient of the 2016 Grammy award for Best Brazilian MPB album!) to newcomer Barro, from afrobeat to ambient, from hip hop to house, Brazilian music continues to prove that there are no boundaries or norms to conform to. The program features new music by: João Donato, Ifá Afrobeat, Trabalhos Espaciais Manuais (TEM), Luisa Maita, Elza Soares, Rogê & Luis Melodia, Pio Lobato, Dona Onete, Xique-Xique, CCOMA, Fernanda Abreu, Flávio Renegado, Tonho Crocco, Retrofoguetes, Rael, Barro, Graveola & o Lixo Polifônico, Azymuth, Nasca and Vitor Araújo.
