Ralph Fiennes, The Invisible Woman
The Oscar nominated multihyphenate Ralph Fiennes directs and stars as Charles Dickens in his second feature, The Invisible Woman. The film recounts the true story of Dickens’ grand but badly kept secret passion for actress Nelly Ternan (Felicity Jones of Like Crazy), who at 18 was 27 years his junior when they began their affair. In a cozy chat Fiennes discusses the story’s emotional pull, physically getting Dickens just right, directing himself, playing the new “M” in the James Bond series, and working with Wes Anderson for his new comedy, The Grand Budapest Hotel.
