Peanut Underground/Pirate Utopia
Occupy Wall Street "No Comment" Revisited: Nearly 20 Months after the people movement at Zuccotti Park was disbanded and the art show across from the NY Stock Exchange was closed, artist and organizers recall the events and describe the influences this movement has had on their lives. Lee Wells, Katie Peyton, and Marjan Moghaddam discuss the event at the Peanut Underground Art Project on the eve of that gallery's anniversary show "MAYDAY : Pirate Utopia 2nd Annual Anarchist Art Fair", curated by Anonymous.
Lee Wells is an artist, independent curator, and a technology and art consultant based New York. He is a co-founder and director of IFAC-arts, and a co-founder of the Video Art Portal Perpetual art machine, [PAM]. He helped curate the 2011 exhibition, No Comment, in New York City
Katie Peyton is a New York-based writer and artist. She is a co-founder of Peanut Underground Art Projects, Katie has written on the origins of the Occupy movement for Bomb Magazine.
