Neils Arestrup & Gilles Legrand, You Will Be My Son
While it is not King Lear, Gilles Legrand's You Will Be My Son has all the heft of a contemporary tragedy. Neils Arestrup (War Horse, A Prophet, The Beat That My Heart Skipped) plays the bellicose owner of a Provençal vineyard, who decides to disinherit his only son and adopt his dying manager's boy in his stead.
Legrand, a producer and writer as well as director, reflects alongside his star on this portrait of France's wine industry and the kind of generational battles it engenders.
