Moby, Innocents
Will Corwin buttonholes Moby in the lobby of the Bowery Hotel, en route to the Escape Festival on Governor's Island, to get the low-down on his exhibition of photography, Innocents, at Emmanuel Fremin Gallery (on view October 23-December 31, 2014). The show features his work exploring a post-apocalyptic world; a series of haunting images based on the presumption that the end has come and we just don't know it. Moby draws much of his inspiration from the ever present cults in Los Angeles (his new home), and this series of images veers widely from his previous photography series' Destroyed and Crowds which were much more autobiographical in nature.
