Miya Masaoka: Works Old and New

Composer, sound artist, and koto virtuoso Miya Masaoka presents some of her work. This program was prepared in advance of her appearance at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn in 2006.

She writes that in her music she has "investigated the sound and movement of insects, as well as the physiological response of plants, the human brain and her own body."
