Michelle Williams, Meek's Cutoff
Following her second Academy Award nomination (as Best Actress for Blue Valentine), Michelle Williams reunites with writer-director Kelly Reichardt (Wendy and Lucy) for something very different: A 19th century Western set on the Oregon Trail as a small group follows their scout Meek who may be leading them intentionally astray. Williams discusses Oscar opportunities, her devotion to Reichardt--whose dog Lucy is an unseen presence in both films--and a particularly horrible image she had as a child actor of 12 that won’t go away.
