Maxx Klaxon brings his pulsating synths, crisp beats, and processed vocals to the Clocktower Gallery, for an exclusive studio performance session and interview.

Maxx Klaxon's brand of sardonic, futuristic electropop reflects a broad range of popular and underground influences, from Kraftwerk, Wendy Carlos, and Afrika Bambaataa to Laurie Anderson and the Pet Shop Boys. His live shows are a blend of music, performance art and interactive video projections, including a "virtual backup singer" and satirical riffs on militarism, media, and mind control. A veteran of the New York City electronic scene, he has performed at venues including the Knitting Factory, Webster Hall, and Galapagos, as well as at concerts and festivals around the United States.

Offstage, Maximus Clarke is the co-curator of NYC's long-running SPLICE "eclectic electronics" performance series. He is also a photographer and video artist, whose work has been showcased at Devotion Gallery and other New York art spaces.
