Maria Luz Cardenas
The backbone of the Venezuelan art scene, critic and curator María Luz Cárdenas has 37 years of experience as a curator and manager in the major museums of Venezuela. Currently the Special Projects director in IARTES (Instituto de las Artes de la Imagen y el Espacio), she has been the President of the Venezuelan chapter of the International Association of Art Critics from 2011 to 2014.
She has curated numerous expositions, including the Salón Pirelli de Jóvenes Artistas (1994-2001), the Salón Nacional de Arte Aragua (1996-2001), Jóvenes con FIA (1999) as well as the representations from Venezuela in the Vencie Biennale (2009) and the Habana (2012). In 2014, she curated the Contemporary American Graphic Iberoamerican Art Fair that presented key trends such as pop art, abstract expressionism, and minimalist abstraction.

RADIO SERIES
Caresse Lansberg hosts, Arte con ESTILO, a Venezuelan radio program of interviews with rising and established artists as well as prominent personalities from the art world.
In Venezuala, the show has become a resounding success and a regular feature on Sunday morning programming of Radio VenFM, a quality media outlet. Each segment of the program is accompanied with music carefully selected by Ms. Lansberg and played by a popular DJ with the aim of attracting a younger audience.
Ms. Lansberg is working in collaboration with The Clocktower Gallery & Radio to build her Latin audience in the U.S. She interviews musicians, architects, film directors, curators, galerists, art critics, actors, writers, and more in a continued effort to the promotion of art.
