Lola Pashalinski
Will Corwin talks to the Grande Dame of the downtown theater scene, Lola Pashalinski. Now, recorded for posterity, is an explanation of the difference between the Theater of the Ridiculous, the Playhouse of the Ridiculous and the Ridiculous Theater Company, all of which started on the standing room line for the Metropolitan Opera somewhere around 1965. Other questions answered: How do you put Baltimore homophobes in their place? Bring along John Waters for cocktails. Lola never seems far from controversy in her roles, whether performing in drag or prescribing a pregnancy test for Godzilla, she always seems to break, or at the very least bend, the rules (47 minutes).
