Lily Collins, Rules Don’t Apply
Lily Collins is at the center of Warren Beatty’s valentine to 1950s Hollywood, Rules Don’t Apply. Unabashedly fictional in its use of real events and people circulating around legendary billionaire Howard Hughes, Rules' casting of Collins was partly due to her remarkable resemblance to ‘50s-era Elizabeth Taylor, and perhaps partly for her ability to perform the title song live as she accompanies herself on piano. Next up, another period piece: a miniseries based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s final, unfinished novel The Last Tycoon.
