Lesley Manville & Ruth Sheen, Another Year

Two Mike Leigh veterans (Lesley Manville and Ruth Sheen) take center stage in Another Year, a heartbreaking comedy-drama about family, loneliness, friendship, love, death and gardening. Both actors have worked with Leigh with his extensive improvisations and rehearsals and discuss their history with one of Britain’s most acclaimed and productive filmmakers and their characters in his latest film which, as the title suggests, spans four seasons in the lives of a couple (Jim Broadbent and Sheen) and their family and friends, who in the case of Manville is a needy, lonely alcoholic.
