Laura Poitras: Citizenfour
The Oscar-nominated documentarian Laura Poitras concludes her trilogy on American power post-9/11 with the extraordinary Citizenfour, where she films history as it happens over 8 days in a Hong Kong hotel as whistleblower Edward Snowden (code name Citizenfour) reveals himself and exposes illegal surveillance by the NSA. Poitras also recalls her Boston beginnings – who knew she began as a chef!
