Larissa Harris, Andy Warhol and the 1964 World's Fair
Larissa Harris, curator at the Queens Museum stops by Clocktower to explain the exhibition The 13 Most Wanted Men: Andy Warhol and the 1964 World's Fair. Corwin asks the question, why hasn't anyone gotten up in arms about the fact the a 20 foot by 20 foot Andy Warhol painting was painted over three days after it was hung? You'll have to listen for the answer, but it involves a notorious cast of wanted men. Besides the ones on the NYPD list, there's architect Philip Johnson, Governor Nelson Rockefeller, developer Robert Moses, and at the heart of it all, the inscrutable Warhol himself. The exhibit runs April 27 though Sept. 7, 2014.
