Kornél Mundruczó, White God

A surprise hit at Cannes and chosen for MoMA’s prestigious New Directors/New Films annual series, Hungarian auteur Kornél Mundruczó’s White God is a fantastical fable set in contemporary Budapest about a world where the social order and caste system is reversed as the downtrodden mixed breed dogs of the city revolt and descend on their masters and oppressors. The central protagonist of this thrilling and strange tale is a 13 year old girl whose beloved mutt Hagen is doomed when sent to the pound – until he escapes to lead this canine revolution.
