Kirby Dick & Amy Ziering, The Hunting Ground

Director Kirby Dick makes films that document crucial institutional failings and catalyze movements for change. His Oscar-nominated 2012 documentary The Invisible War chronicled the military’s stunning disregard to punish sexual assaults in its ranks and is now used as a teaching tool on bases. Dick’s new documentary The Hunting Ground analyzes the alarming pervasiveness of campus sexual assaults and universities’ reluctance to punish rapists. We speak with Dick and his producing partner Amy Ziering about their disturbing and incendiary film.
