Kim Jones

In his continued effort to get to the bottom of all things Williamsburg, Will meets up with artist Kim Jones at Pierogi during the gallery's exhibition of his work, entitled Venice High. If you've ever wanted to hear a
calmly delivered and no-frills account of a Vietnam experience, here's
where you'll get it--it's afterwards where all hell breaks loose.
After realizing that LA was way too stodgy to accommodate a half-naked
dude covered in mud who walked everywhere, Kim came to New York and
settled down, spending a lot of time at P.S.1 in the '80s. Kim
describes the origin of his war drawings, and his description of his
pivotal first "walk" is a must listen (38 minutes).
