Kathy Battista, Renegotiating the Body

Sotheby's Consultant Lecturer for MA Contemporary Art Anna Moszynska and performance artist Bobby Baker interview author Kathy Battista on the occasion of the launch of Battista's book, Re-negotiating the Body: Feminist Art in 1970's London.

Re-negotiating the Body tackles the difficult question of what defines art as "feminist art?" Focusing her research on the body as medium, Battista's book incorporates both original images and in-depth interviews from artists prominent in the 70s.

Recorded October 14, 2013 at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London and made available here in partnership with WorkInProgress.
