Judith Eloise Hooper & Peter Barnett, BWAC
David Weinstein hosts Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) manager and curator Judith Eloise Hooper and participating artist Peter Barnett on the occasion of their roles in the ceramics show entitled Art in Clay II: Figuratively Speaking, on view through October 26, 2014 with nearly three dozen participants. The two discuss BWAC's role as an art community where artists can grow and learn from each other, the effects of Hurricane Sandy on the Red Hook art scene, and Red Hook's ever-flourishing status as a pioneer town with all the possibility of what can be.
Judith Eloise Hooper is an artist who works primarily with ceramics, and is also the manager of the BWAC gallery as well as curator of the Art in Clay show. She lives in Park Slope. Originally from South Africa, Peter Barnett dedicates his time to ceramics and teaching. He specializes in creating cars (complete with individual moving parts) out of clay.
