John C. Reilly, Terri

John C. Reilly couldn’t say no to playing a kind principal to a troubled, obese student in Terri. After all, the actor explains, his wife Alison Dickey is the producer. Terri is but the first of a trio of Reilly films this year that involve parents and children. Coming: The Cannes hit We Need to Talk About Kevin with Tilda Swinton and, at year’s end, Roman Polanski’s film adaptation of Yasmin Resa’s international stage success God of Carnage with Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and Christopher Waltz, Oscar winners all – except for Reilly. "But I was nominated," noted the Chicago alumnus.
