Joe Amrhein
In his continued pursuit of unearthing everything Williamsburg hides beneath its condominiumed hide, Will stops by Pierogi founder Joe Amrhein's sur-Pierogi pad to chat about the foundation of the gallery--arising out of frustration with the lack of cultural discourse at the time, he'd had no initial intention of it becoming the artistic locus that it has--and his distaste for any artistic "school," as such. He also discusses his own work, bringing Pierogi to Leipzig and acculturating himself to no longer being able to blare music from his roof anymore (33 minutes).
