Jim Torok
Jim Torok talks about the dual interests represented by his artistic practice--super realistic portraits on the one hand, and, on the other end of the spectrum, clowns and cartoons. The cartoons have helped him out on more than one occasion, in particular netting him his wife, the artist Mary Carlson. Jim talks about realistic painting, studying under Philip Pearlstein and his own account of the Williamsburg art scene (32 minutes).
