Jim Mickle and Nick Damici, Stake Land

Friends and collaborators Nick Damici and Jim Mickle co-wrote Stake Land, a dark, vampire/zombie saga that stars Damici as the vampire hunter with Mickle, an NYU Film School grad, directing. Tweaked as The Road with bite, Stake Land was scripted as a riposte to currently popular sexy, sleek vampires. These ghouls bleed black bile and resemble viciously deformed slugs. Costarring are Broadway Tony winner Michael Cerveris as a right wing fundamentalist preacher and ‘80s screen siren Kelly McGillis in her first film in a decade.
