James Brown Tribute
When we landed on Christmas Day 2007 in JFK, Nappy G & I got word of the passing of our biggest musical inspiration: the Godfather of Soul, Mr. James Brown! This hit us very deeply, so we decided that every year we'd dedicate an entire night of Christmas to the World of Funky People, the Soul Sisters... everything from hip hop, the covers, the mash-ups etc. Here's an easy going mix I put together from some of my favorite vinyls, but this is only scratching the surface of the knowledge & depths of the music out there. I hope more mixes are posted from some of the great James Brown fanatics I know exist. May the funk be with all of you! R.I.POWER JAMES BROWN!
