Jack Waters & Peter M. Cramer

You can all relax: the missing middle section of ABC No Rio's history has come to the studio to finally bring their part of the story to light. Installation and performance artists, Peter M. Cramer and Jack Waters both started out as dancers in NYC in the late 70's/early 80's, did the club scene and quite organically ended up at ABC No Rio. They organized some seminal performance there, including 7 Days of Creation in 1983. Trading their vision and organization skills (loosely based on anarchy as a regulating system) for a place to live, they took the reigns at No Rio until the early 90's. Now they manage a garden/art space on the lower east side with the grandiose yet diminutive title Le Petit Versailles (35 minutes).
