Jack and Leigh Ruby, Car Wash Incident

Artist Eve Sussman joins host Will Corwin in conversation with the sister and brother team Leigh and Jack Ruby (not that Jack Ruby) who have come to the Clocktower studio to talk about their project "Car Wash Incident", a project done in collaboration with Eve Sussman and Simon Lee. The piece, exhibited at the alternative art fair "Spring Break" at Old School is a tantalizing video based loosely on a staged robbery for an insurance scam. Leigh and Jack used to stage these very scams, and in fact did time in an Australian prison for this. Brought together by an intrepid lawyer, the Rubys and Sussman and Lee realized that these scams weren't really any different from an artistic practice, and so decided to create a new piece, one that won't end up as evidence in a trial.
